PARAPLUIE is a handcrafted oval glass bead suspension, made entirely by hand in our workshops. It is composed of hundreds of strands of blown glass beads measuring 13mm in diameter, each ending in a 30mm glass drop, suspended from an oval nickel-plated metal frame. Light passes through and refracts off each glass element, creating an immediately recognisable effect of suspended luminous rain — the signature of the Muye family.

No two pieces are perfectly identical. This is the hallmark of hand-blown glass craftsmanship.

The oval shape of this handcrafted glass suspension allows it to adapt naturally to long dining tables, rectangular spaces and large volumes. It structures the space visually as much as it illuminates it. Several units suspended in a row will rhythmically define a corridor or gallery.

Materials & artisanal craftsmanship

Each strand is assembled by hand — blown glass bead after bead, finished with a signature drop. The nickel-plated metal wire supports the assembly and clips onto the oval ring of the frame. No piece is mass-produced — every suspension is unique.
